ESIG (Energy System Integration Group) is organising a workshop on electric systems planning and reliable operations with large loads.

The workshop will be held at the venue of the 25th Wind & Solar Integration Workshop, the Pestana Douro Riverside.

Workshop Details

The workshop aims to exchange knowledge between European and American stakeholders on recent developments in forecasting and modelling large loads for interconnection and system stability studies as the major new sources of electricity demand enter the interconnection queues and come online.

The workshop will highlight challenges and solutions related both to the current expansion of data centres as well as loads from electrification, hydrogen and power to X plants.

This one day workshop will have sessions on Load forecasting, Technical reliability and Interconnections.

Join us for a cocktail reception in the evening following a day full of inspiring talks, insights, and exhange.

Participation Fees & Registration

The ESIG Large Loads Workshop is not included in the general participation fee of the Wind & Solar Integration Workshop.
The registration for the ESIG Large Loads Workshop includes coffee breaks, lunch and networking cocktail.
Registration opens on 15 June 2026.
